the “haves” – those dogs and cats who people think have it made, but do they? – and the “have nots”: the dogs and cats who, in our 21st Century world, are treated as if they were inanimate objects. Come and learn what’s going on around the world and in our own backyard.
Ms. Newkirk is author of 14 books, including the newly released Compassionate Cook, Making Kind Choices and Let’s Have a Dog Party, which will be on sale to benefit the Washington Animal Rescue League after the talk.
