It was a sublime weekend for cat-lovers at the National Capital Cat Show last weekend. This annual show is the largest gathering of cat-lovers in the metro Washington DC area, and one of the largest shows of it’s kind in the U.S.

Cats can be very finicky when it comes to their food, and what tastes good to one cat may not be so appealing to another. One overriding factor however is deciding on the food that is best for your cat’s age and activity level, and additionally, whether or not you should feed your cat wet or dry food. Oreo Louis
Oreo Louis is also known as Oreo the Cookie, sweet as a cookie, though three vets might not say so all the time because he growled like a tiger when gently prodded to participate in simple tasks like sitting on a table for an exam! To be fair, a steel table isn’t very comfy, especially for claws (or fingernails)! Still, at 10 years old, this “mutt” began to “talk” in high-pitched sounds like his adopted part-Siamese cat sister, mostly to say “hi” to me after a shower. ~ Debra from Virginia
